Our meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month at 1:00 p.m. in the Philip S. Miller Library, 100 S. Wilcox Street, Castle Rock, Colorado, unless otherwise stated. Visitors are welcome!

For over ten years, volunteers under the direction of the town of Castle Rock have expanded the bird population by establishing and maintaining bird boxes. Today we’ll hear how this huge project continues to benefit our area.


February 1, 2022 - Winter Sowing

Let’s learn about winter sowing which is a method of starting seeds outdoors in the winter. It involves sowing seeds in miniature greenhouses (recycled milk jugs) outside during the winter allowing them to germinate in their own environment.

Our friends at Tagawa will present an interesting new program for us -- Living in Harmony: Plants and Vegetables Together in Containers. Due to several factors, we will run our gift card fund-raiser this year.


May 3, 2022 - Water Gardening Basics

This presentation will cover typical aquatic species such as water lilies, lotus, and marginal plants. We will learn what plants are hardy and tropical, how to identify various plants, and the planting and care of aquatic plants.


June 7, 2022 - Garden Club Plant Sale

Hidden Mesa Open Space, 3217 CO-83, Franktown, CO

Donate your plants and yard items from home for sale and buy some new plants or yard supplies from your garden buddies. This annual fund-raiser is a great kickoff to summer gardening fun.


July 5, 2022 - Annual Herb Luncheon/Brunch

Philip Miller Library, Castle Rock at 11:30 am

This month we will enjoy a favorite tradition -- the herb luncheon. Members are asked to bring a dish featuring an herb.


August 2, 2022 - Birds and Gardens
